He’s everything but ordinary.
One of the many reasons I fell in love with him is the way his mind works

Suatu hari jaman gw kuliah, gw diajak dinner sama senior gw di kampus. Gw cerita sama Pandu, dan iseng nanya boleh apa ngga gw pergi sama si senior gw itu.
“Boleh”, kata Pandu.

Gw bingung…kok boleh ya? Padahal gw udah jelasin loh gaya si senior gw ngajak pergi itu bukan gaya temen ngajak makan abis kuliah karena kelaperan…

Karena penasaran, baik sama Pandu (sejauh mana dia ngijinin gw pergi sama cowok lain) maupun sama senior gw (pengen tau apa maksudnya doi), gw jadi ni pergi sama si senior gw. Dijemputnya di kosan Pandu trus makan di..shoot lupa gw, somewhere di daerah sukajadi gitu. Tempatnya…hmm, tergantung sudut pandang ya, klo lagi pedekate *hidih bahasa taun kuda* mungkin rasanya romantis karena gelap-gelap mengundang, haha. Tapi pas dinner itu ketauan kalo dia udah punya pacar dan gak jelas banget deh maksudnya ngajak gw pergi apaan, jadi gw simpulin bahwa dia sengaja ngajak gw makan disana supaya ngga kegep…cuih.
Poor him, turns out he’s the one who’s cheating while previously he thought we both were cheating on our partner. Weekkk, gw sih bilang dan diijinin sama Pandu sementara dia pure BOONG sama pacarnya, haha (ahem, sekarang sih udah jadi istrinya).

Gak cuma itu, pas gw ceritain klo Pandu tau gw pergi sama dia dan literally ngijinin gw pergi (malah pake pesen, “makan yang banyak ya biar dia bangkrut…hiahaha”), si senior gw malah berusaha menjelek-jelekkan Pandu. Bikin ilfil! Dia ngga kenal dan ngga tau Pandu tapi dengan sok taunya bilang Pandu itu bego karena ngebiarin gw pergi sama orang lain dan pasti Pandu punya alesan lain, yaa mungkin karena Pandu juga punya selingkuhan? PLAKK!!! Sebel banget dengernya…gw langsung minta dianterin pulang, ke kosan Pandu….weekkkk

Pas ketemu Pandu, gw tanya kenapa dia ngasi gw pergi sama cowok lain. Kenapa dia ngga berusaha mempertahankan gw? (Btw sekedar info ga penting, menurut Pandu, si senior gw ini ganteng dan keren, hahaha makanya gw penasaran sama alesan Pandu)

Smiling, he answered, “no baby, on the contrary, this is the BEST defense I can make”
I was still confused…
He explained further, by letting me go out with another guy, I would be able to put an objective perspective about Pandu and the other guy. And in the end, I would be able to conclude who I like better.
And I said, what if I like the other guy?
Well then he’d be happy for me.
What?? Why didn’t he try to fight for me? *dasar perempuaaann, drama drama drama*
He simply said that from the moment he asked me to be his, he’s done everything in his power for me. And if after all that he’s done I’d still choose another guy, then the conclusion is very simple: he’s not the right guy for me and wish me good luck with whoever I choose.

*the drama queen continues* wouldn’t you be sad?
He replied, off course…but I’d be relieved because I have done everything in my power to love you…so if it’s still not enough, I would have no regret. And I wouldn’t wonder “if only I had been this or that, maybe Meta would still be mine”

It took me a minute to absorb everything he said.
And admire him more.
